Hot day today. Cam tried again yesterday to do without drugs. Things got worse and worse during the day. He was able to almost relax last evening. I got the feeling to check on him and he was yelling for help, only very little sound came out. His back was on fire, and his belly was being squeezed tightly by spasms and he couldn't breathe. I helped him sit up, but it took mighty effort because of a spasm. Wow. This
morning he decided that to have another day like yesterday was out of the question. He took some more pain-killers and was almost comfortable. We are looking for ways to do things without drugs. They scare him so badly! He doesn't want to get hooked on them. The pain was so bad yesterday, though, that he was trying to justify a way to end things permanently. He couldn't do it, thank heaven. I told him he had to keep taking the drugs until we found a better way to do things naturally. Any ideas out there?
Things are moving forward on the house makeover. Cam had an idea to just sell this house, and then buy a lot to put the house on. Greg liked that idea-the house dude- saying it would be easier. Anyone interested in a house in Provo? NOW, they say it will be built in August. WHOA! I need to step things up here, de-junking and all! We're gonna have one heckuva yard sale the end of July.
For those in Utah on July 2, we will be having a benefit concert:
"Cameron Sevy broke his back and was paralyzed in February of this year. We have organized a benefit concert to help the family on July 2, 2007. It will be held at the Red Barn at Thanksgiving Point.
Starting at 6:30, The Cluffs will be playing a pre-show concert. This Blue Grass band will have your feet tapping and your hands clapping. At 7:00, our own Cherie Call will honor us with some of her fantastic music. THEN, Clog America, Utah's international touring group, will clog us all into a frenzy! These folks are more awesome than this keyboard can spell out.
Come and support one of Utah County's citizens, and have a rip-roaring time to boot!
Tickets are $5.00 each, or $25 for a family up to 7 members.
They will be sold at the door the night of the performance.
See y'all there!"
That's the ad that's in many places. If you can be there whoopie! See you in less than 2 weeks. If not, think about us, ok? Tell everyone you know in Utah so they can enjoy it.
I wonder if nervous breakdowns are all that they're cracked up to be. I'm thinking maybe I'll have one, or just borrow it and see how it fits. Hmmmmmmmm.
Love to all!
